It has been long time since I submitted the last art and my last journal is quite old, so for those who are starting to think I am not safe or dead by the earthquake, I am telling you I am okay, just in case. I really enjoy my current full time work as a 2D professional artist and satisfied with my life. My life became so busy and cannot make many individual art, but I am willing to keep this as I did in this decades. I was going to say happy new year, but we, Japan is now in not-happy, so I only hope everyone had happy one instead. anyway, there is no affect to my life so far. So if you are worried about me, thank you, I am alright! :)

Good day. I would like to thank you, who are reading this journal right now, for your constant support and to share with you my Good News. I have been employed as an artist since March. It is not a games company, but it is one of the largest studios of creatives in Japan, a company with a long history founded by creatives for creatives. I thank you all for your support and I am here to report that I have made one step up. Thank you very much. I did not attend art school and worked in a normal, trading job. Painting was just a hobby for me, but my activity over a long period of time had given me the ability to compete in the professional market. I still wanted to be an artistm a dream from my childhood. I become 30. I thought it it a last chance, so I quit my job and became a freelancer; I had 24 hours of freedom and experienced a lot of trial and error. Thank you all very much for your support this year. Since quitting my office job and becoming an illustrator at the beginning of this year, every month has been a trial and error, but in the last three months I've finally been able to put myself in a position to make a meaningful living. I didn't expect it to be successful in a year, but now I feel like I've pulled off a critical hit! Until August I was doing a lot of Skeb and commission work, but in the last three months of the year I switched to corporate work, and now I'm doing background jobs for games and prop design for animations, although I can't give you the details yet. I had no senior colleagues close to me, so I lost my way in many ways, and I'm sure I'll have to meditate on things in the future, but I think this is what it means to be an independent designer.
