I planned to produce more variations on this concept myself. It's very cool seeing you share that level of attention to detail in your own work as well I really love seeing that
dot in "O", this is same idea! it may be ironic but I am happy to share same thing.
Contrary to what you might think, Japanese katakana has many interesting figure for creating new letters because kanatana is made from a part of Chinese letters. West and East, things came up by mixing them are always creative.
Good ironic, good indeed Yeah, aware of katakana being derived from Chinese letters. There's certainly a great deal of directions one can go expanding on the visual notions of language fictionally. love doing this kind of stuff, it's fun to work on Love seeing the same passion in other creators.
I really like it!!! How you created your own font, and how if you look at some of the letters you can see what it says! Like, it looks foreign but if you look hard enough, you can make out what it says
good to hear so! I used fontstruct.com to create it, it is easy, all you need to do is pick up a part and drop it to a box, like Lego! however designing letters is not easy... I spent 2 years to establish current style. 2 years! I didn't try to make it looks good but thorough the drawing, my letters "grew up"
"it looks foreign but if you look hard enough, you can make out what it says" This is WHAT I wanted to achieve!! Now we live in the world of IT so we know many languages so there is no "discovery". Imagine that back to 15th, you are an adventure and you found a another civilization! Feeling exotic but one can guess what it means... this is epic imo.
btw, this sentences are lyrics of Phantasy Star, "Ignite infinity" lol
Oh, wow!!! I always thought people drew the text over and over again hahaha ^_^;; Two years... lol I'd never have the patience It's really cool, though! I know it's really hard to come up with something you've never seen before, so I congratulate you!
Phantasy Star... Would you perhaps know the game Phantasy Star Online?!?
!!!!!!!! Sadly, since I live in US, I have to wait until the English version comes out :c I'm so sad hahaha I've played PSO (not 2) and I LOVE it!!! I still play it sometimes because it helps give me ideas to draw <333 But I am very impatient hahaha I really want it to come out so I can play it... But this gives me a reason to learn more Japanese because the Japanese version is out!!! D8<<< And I also plan to go to Japan hahaha
Have you seen/read Sword Art Online? I wish that we could play games like that. Like, be in it ourselves
